Before Rambo, before Rocky, before Cobra, Sylvester Stallone starred in the hardcore porn flick Party at Kitty and Studs. After the success of Rocky, the producers cut out the hardcore bits and released it in soft-core form as The Italian Stallion.
Here's the fantastic trailer for the film, which hilariously shows no shame in hitching itself to the Stallone bandwagon.
Has anyone ever seen The Longest Foot? There's no mention of it on IMDB...

Was this trailer the inspiration for the early 'Spinal Tap' trailer with Marti DiBergi (Rob Reiner) at his editing machine sharing his thoughts on his new film (and a clip about a cheese festival)?
Good call, El Payo -- can't say for sure on it, though. There used to be a number of these kind of trailers back in the day, although often they were created for industry trade shows and not theaters.
That Spinal Tap promo was created for the American Film Market (AFM), I think, and never shown in theaters.
