Holy crap! The Brian Jonestown Massacre has made a significant portion of their back catalog available online for FREE.
This is a fantastic band so check it out. Start with Take It From The Man! and go from there.

These don't seem to be iTunes compatible, huh?
They are OGG Vorbis format, which is an open source audio format. On Mac you can install the free OGG Drop program which will allow you to play them in any Quicktime application (iTunes) as well as convert them to whatever format you want.

Oh cool. Thanks i'll give it a try. It's good to see that BJM has not given up on their mission of avoiding financial success at every turn.
Actually, I think it's a smart move. They couldn't have been making much off CD sales at all and most bands make their money on touring and merch so if giving it away for free brings extra bodies to the shows they probably come out ahead.
I wonder why more indie bands don't do it, actually.
