The Pig Keeper's Daughter BANNED by YouTube!

Posted by TheMuggler on March 28, 2006. bbyt.jpg

I just received the following email from YouTube:

From: YouTube Service <>
To: TheMuggler
Date: Mar 27, 2006 9:43 PM
Subject: Your video has been rejected due to its inappropriate nature

Your video The Pig Keeper's Daughter 1972 movie trailer has been rejected due to its inappropriate nature. Please refer to our terms and conditions for more information on what video material is not permitted on YouTube.

It wasn't all that popular when I posted it on March 3 (I guess I overestimated YBNBY reader's desire for 70's sleaze), garnering only a few thousand views as of last week, but YouTube tells me that it had 221,271 views before it was pulled, so someone with a ton of traffic linked to it, and enough people must have complained.

So far the other trailers are still available, but you might want to get your fill of Grindhouse retro raunch now before the prudes spoil all the fun.

If you enjoyed this story, read more like it in our The Grindhouse section.

Sorry, but I'm partly to blame for some (though not much) of the traffic, because I put a link to the trailer titled "the worst porno ever" on my website I'm sure there were a multitude of others that felt compelled to share this masterpiece of American cinema.

That's funny. 221,271 views, and it still took them three weeks to get a complaint. I know it normally takes more than one complaint to get a video banned, but they LOOK at it when the first complaint rolls in.

Funnily enough, I also got an email from one of our ad networks today, saying that our content had been deemed inappropriate (which is why you may be seeing less ads on our site now, as i had to go through and remove them all). The three pages they cited as the ones that were most objectionable also happen to be our top three most popular stories of all time. Go figure.
