The new law will join Mount Rushmore and white supremacy as the only things anyone associates with the state.

On the CBS viewing demographic
Many households counted in the ratings for the CBS morning program are actually people who died in the middle of the night with their tv's on.
That's fucking funny. Nicely done, Mr. Schieffer.

Koren Shadmi is an amazing illustrator who has a couple of surreal pdf comics on his site that everyone should check out. There are three stories:
Grandpa Minolta in which a young girl recalls memories of her strange grandfather who sat in the same spot everday and also had a camera for a head.
Peeping Tom is narrated by a young man who records his observations of women that he can only partially see from other apartment buildings through his windows.
Headonism is about a giant head who is a real asshole to his young servant girl.
Check out the comics and be sure to browse through Shadmi's other work while you're there.

Could lead to a species walking on all fours up a tree. Via CityRag.
British newspapers are abuzz about a newly discovered Turkish family who only know how to walk on all fours. They're being heralded as a genetic breakthrough, a key to the moment when apes first walked upright, as they have a “unique combination of genes”.
Reading a little closer between the lines, however, and you see that this unique combination of genes came about because the Mother and Father are “closely related”.
Umm.... OK.

5) Apparently, it's not just me and VH1 trying to bring back the 70's...check out this cassette lamp.
4) Sometimes it's the simple stuff that really gets me, like a notepad with a space for a pencil.
3) The cord is usually the part you want to hide, but not these guys. It's the cord light.
2) The twentieth iPod case I've posted. Simple, with very cool fabric choices, it's the foofpod.
1) And from the fearless leader, a very cool suitcase called Fido, although I'm not sure I'd ever buy one.

Andrew Wilkow isn't sure what he'd do...but he sure is pissed. Audio
(never even heard of this douchebag)
Spare a moment's thought this morning for 13 year old Will Reeve, pictured above. After watching his dad Christopher battle a long and very public disability before his death in 2004, he has now lost his mother too. Dana Reeve, a non-smoker died yesterday, aged just 44, from lung cancer.
Man, sometimes life just kicks you in the gut.
Great mashup of "Little Red Corvette" and "Stand Back" by Bangers & Mash.
