The latest entry in the evergrowing Web Comics venue is Activate, a collective of artists on Live Journal who have banded together as an online studio to put out frequent ongoing web comix. After a few weeks of teasers popping up online here and there to promote today's launch date their initial comix debut today and it's a promising start. From Josh Neufeld's post 9/11 fear of losing more NY landmarks in Post Traumatic Skyscraper Anxiety, Tim Hamilton's life of a dog-walker in Pet Sitter, Dean Haspiel's love story about a "bruiser", Immortal, to Leland Purvis' silent story about two stonemasons, Vulcan and Vishnu, there's a nice eclectic mix of material here and it should be a fun site for web comic fans to check out on a regular basis.
