A wonderful piece of comics journalism is available to download free from British newspaper, The Guardian. Joe Sacco, the genius behind Palestineand Safe Area Gorazde turns his attention to the abuse of Iraqi prisoners by US forces. This is a prime example of why I love the medium so much.

Another amazing piece from Sacco. Very disturbing story.
Ah yes, Gorazde. People were dying supposedly because in this safe haven (which was code for 'you cant attack us where we are safe but the muslims troops can do like in Srebrenica and go out and burn 50 outlying villages and then retreat to safety") they were starving and when the UN arrived there was chickens and goats roaming around freely. ANother one of those PR press points that made Bosnis the precursor to the lies we were fed in Kosovo and then Iraq. While these smoke screens were lit everywhere and promoted by Ruder and Finn, tens of thousands of nice muhajeddins were roaming the countryside taking pictures of birds and frolicking in the fields because we all remember that back then Osama and the boys were our friends.
If were going to repeat old NATO propaganda then why dont we spent some time talking about WMD's: I like fiction too.
