The Geronimo Jackson site is a fake. A google search for the band of days afetr they appeared on Lost came up with nothing. Also, the SINGLE pic on that site is a screen capture from that same Lst episode. Some people are just trying too hard and have waaaaaaaaaay too much time on their hands.
Yes...the fact that they list the school where the DeGroots studied as where they got their start would seem to confirm your theory.
