Universities spend a lot of money on promotional videos each year. Appalachian State University (located not too far from where I sit right now in North Carolina) never heard that part about the money and instead have put together this piece of shit which is on its way to becoming an internet legend, something money just can't buy.

Wow. I've been to ASU on two occasions. I found it luke warm at best.
this will haunt me always. and it will make me second-guess every design (creative and technical) decision i ever make. how could it have gone so far wrong? was anyone proud of any of it at any point? did the singers or musicians think it was a good song? were any professional photographers, designers, directors involved? even student work is always better than this. yet it doesn't seem to be bad on purpose. does it? it really doesn't make any sense. how could this happen? this will haunt me always.
Yeah I sort of wonder if this is some sort of student joke but at the same time I've seen things equally ridiculous make its way through production. This feels like it could have been done 20 years ago, not this year.
I kid you not, this is the real deal! I worked at Appalachian when this first appeared and only wish it were the prank of students. It would be hard to spoof something this bad... Rest assured that we all feel the shame...
