This one should make Jellio's day. No respectable comedian is accepting offers to host the White House Correspondents Association dinner this year. Jerry Seinfeld was the first choice but word is that he's just not a Bush fan. Astoundingly, Jon Stewart was also asked proving that no one in the White House actually watches the Daily Show.

Jay Leno however has said he'd be pleased to do it for the 3rd time but the WH is still trying to play the field and not settle just yet.

It's time for The 2006 Bloggies, the sixth time this competition has been run. The Bloggies celebrate the best blogs on the web, based on nominations and votes from readers LIKE YOU. Nominations are accepted from now until January 12th, and the more nominations a blog gets, the more likely it is to end up in the final. There are a whole bunch of categories to nominate sites for including Best Group Weblog, Most Humerous Weblog, Best New Weblog and even Weblog of the Year, just to pick a few categories not at all at random :) So get your butt over and nominate your favorite blog here.
