Things to Come

006A
There's been much talk at YBNBY over the last few days about ways to develop the site in the next year - among the ideas thrown out - an expanded series of audio interviews, video podcasts, a GREAT gameshow idea by Clickety Clack (which we'll reveal in good time) - but I thought I'd throw it out to the regular readers out there.

What would you like to see more or less of in the coming year? More “Where Are They Nows”? More Commuting Suicide or Ugly Animals? Some crappy competitions with even crappier prizes? Something else altogether - a new idea or direction? Use the comments to let us know what you like and don't like, and we'll see if we give a damn.

Maybe we should start our own TV station and do a deal with TiVo - i mean - we're not THAT far behind Rocketboom :)

But is it art?

200601022148
Well, yes, it is, according to it's creator, conceptual performance artist Mary DeSade.

But you be the judge. Pillowfight Bloodbath feautures bikini-clad chicks getting naked and then indulging in a pillowfight that turns extreme, leading to blood soaked corpses. All in Quicktime VR, which lets you the viewer, do the stripping and mutilating.

Highly provocative, I advise you all to not click here. And then, don't subscribe to the ipod-format behind-the-scenes podcast. (via PodGuide.TV)

Dignity

jerry-rice-19.jpg

When faced with the possibility of being a 4th or even 5th string wideout for the Broncos, Jerry Rice opted for retirement. According to a USA Today article at the time, "Rice didn't want to deal with the possible indignity of being declared inactive for games or withering away on the bench when he did suit up."

That's certainly commendable. A man of dignity.

Well, that lasted about four months.

You can catch Rice, starting Thursday, on ABC's Dancing With The Stars. Much less degrading than a decreased role in the Denver offense.

Good things come...

Met an angel today boys. You'll have to excuse me if the posts are a little sappy for the next couple days.

(But if I dare say anything good about Bush, feel free to kick my ass.)

Resolutions from the Blogosphere

bleach.jpg

this year i just have one big blanket-style resolution - a complete attitude adjustment.

No suicide attempts under any circumstances at all.

try and be less argumentative and confrontational (especially when drunk)

drink pepsi instead of coke

Stay awake during the sermon in Church

Prepare Arizona for the arrival of the PIG (mailing in advance sex offender registration forms to Washington, etc.)

chill to my fullest potential. (hahha)

no resolutions this year. life goes on.

help out when needed alot more

Gracefully enter my 30's and adulthood. That means no crying.

I suppose one of my resolutions should be to "be less petty and hateful and territorial" but... meh. I accept who I am.

Where Are They Now - The Griswold Kids

VacationPoster.jpgEuroVacationPoster.jpgChristmasVacationPoster.jpgVegasPoster.jpg

Can someone explain to me why, for the past two weeks, I could find one of the four vacation movies on some cable channel, at least twice a day. Trust me, I'm not complaining. With everything else in reruns, Clark and family were welcome at all hours, and I got to practice my line memorizing...I'm going steady, and I French kiss. So? Everybody does that. Yeah, but Daddy says I'm the best at it

Well, when you watch them all together like that, the fact that they changed the kids in each movie stands out even more. And it got me thinking again. I know Anthony Michael Hall is solving crimes on USA, and I just heard Juliette Lewis on Howard a few months back, but there were eight of them. Did they go on to bigger and better things, or will they show up on Former Childstar Central...this calls for some useless research.
