I want my iPodTV

B0007L6Sa8-1.02.Lzzzzzzz-1

Suddenly and unexpectedly, a batch of new TV shows are available for your iPod in the iTunes Music Store, including..

• Law & Order
• Surface
• The Office
• The Tonight Show
• Conan
• Vintage shows including Alfred Hitchcock Presents... and Dragnet
• and.... BATTLESTAR GALACTICA

So, after all the rumors about FOX and ESPN that have floated around over the last few days, NBC and The Sci-Fi Channel quietly slip in when no-one's paying attention. Lost & Battlestar Galactica - without doubt, the two best shows on TV, now on your iPod. For all those naysayers that have complained about lack of content, I really think Apple have stepped up to the plate on this one in a big way

Someone sell me on Battlestar Galactica. I've never seen it and didn't realize it had any merit to it.

How do you make this post without mentioning Knight Rider?

"Knight Rider is a fantastic thrill-ride about a young man (international superstar David Hasselhoff) who fights crime with his super-advanced car, K.I.T.T. K.I.T.T. has the ability to think and talk, often chiding others with his hilarious witticisms. Great action, great fun, great car."

Battlestar Galactica was a fading attempt for cash in on the "Star Wars" thing happening at the time. When I first saw it back in '79 (when I was 14) it was a waste of time THEN!

I also remember with a fond sadness the other sci-fi ripoff quickies - Clash Of The Titans, with the mechanized robot Be-Boo, Buck Rogers and mechanized robot Wicki-Wicki, and the list went on and on and on...

Here's me two cents - don't waste your time with it. They're best left for geeky sad-sacks who still live at home in the basement and NEEDS this kind of crap. Anybody who thinks this was was high sci-fi also thinks the recent 3 Star Wars sequels are worth a good god-damn.

News flash - they're not.

So, let's get this straight - you are making this recommendation to give the new series a miss based on your not having watched it?

i'd pay a little more attention if it wasn't becoming obvious you like to contradict just for the sake of contradiction.

No, no, no, Much-o, the new series looked promising... the overall theme appeared dark, new ememies bedcfmae old friends, this is one time I can honestly say a remake is better than the original.

p.s. - avoid the bloated "Poseidon Adventure" remake coming out next year. And stock up on soup, huh? It's cold out there...

I've added the mini-series and season one to my Netflix queue. Looking forward to some good sci-fi.

Hmmm... been trying post here all day... is there "anti-Johnny" work afoot?

Anyway, Mooch, you're right - I was referring to the 1979 version... that was cheesy & sad.

This new version is bleaker, darker, and has more relevance. From what little I saw it looks great!

I stand corrected.

I hope this posts!

We're currently being hit by a mass of comment-spam posts, so I enforced some pretty strict rules on what can get through and what can't. So, no, I'm not singling you out - your first comment was blocked as it contained a URL, and the second because you hit a particular sequence of keywords. This'll be the case for a few days, i'm afraid - they are all moderated and i go through and approve them manually when i get the time.

No prob, bro. I have to remember that I can't talk like myself online, I do have to "moderate" myself a little.

And isn't this season all about compromise and sacrifice? After, this is the season to shop, shop, shop, shove, shove, shove, and buy, buy, buy! Isn't that the true meaning of Xmas?
