Poor Thad. I'm not sure what he's done to deserve this prank his friends pulled on him but they got him real bad. Using a TiVo'd recording of an old Lottery drawing and a ticket bought for him with those same exact numbers they pull off the greatest of what appears to be an annual Thad pranking.

This is my new favorite thing, at least for today. Pandora is a customizeable radio station utilizing the results of the Music Genome Project. Just start by typing in a song or an artist and Pandora will then begin playing other songs that it feels fits into the genre you have created based on factors such as melody, harmony, rhythm, instrumentation, orchestration, arrangement and lyrics. Usually these sorts of things (like say Amazon's recommendations) deliver up predictable and redundant results but based on my experience so far I've been hearing some interesting things. Plus the Flash interface is pretty damn cool.

Anyone else out there use this?

I'm new to this whole video iPod thing. Your world confuses me. I'm just a caveman, accustomed to the 2002 model iPod. It was 11 pounds.

So here's my question -- can I convert my TiVo recordings (that I've transferred to my laptop) to an iTunes-compatible format?

Let's say I TiVo Saturday night's Giants-Raiders game. Then I transfer that from the TiVo to my wife's PC using TiVo Desktop. Any way for me to get that .mov file over to iTunes? When I try to dump it into iTunes, iTunes won't accept.
