Squidoo is a new site from Seth Godin where experts create links pages on topics in the areas of their expertise. It's a commercialized wikipedia, without the collaborative editing.

We have built an online platform that makes it easy for anyone to build lenses on topics they are passionate about. These lenses help you find a unique, human perspective on things that interest you... fast. Not only can Lensmasters spread their ideas, get recognized for their expertise, and send more traffic to their Web sites and blogs—they could also earn royalties.

I'm looking forward to Scaramouch's porn lense. And Jellio's lense of lists and list of lenses.

Speaking of experts, I'm sure he wasn't helped by editing, but Ryan on Martha's Apprentice sure didn't seem to know what he was doing. First of all, last week's concept of eating dinner with the car just blew greasy chunks and then this week he really screwed up: dumb idea, didn't listen to the client's target audience, then went downhill from there. Wasn't he supposed to be a marketing and advertising expert. Oh brother.

You knew this was coming, so let's get it out of the way. Number two on the 12 lists of Christmas is a look at my favorite Holiday Classics. In reality, it's probably close to everyone else's ten favorites, as there aren't that many out there, but it needed to be included.

In the week that “Podcast” has been named the “Word of the Year”, news reaches us of yet another porn podcast, this time an audio one. “Porn for the Blind” aims to create audio stories for reading challenged people, including the blind and dyslexic. There's quite a few MP3s available, including one that's memorably named “Night Air, Cut Grass, Damp Nylon, Wood Smoke, Cunt”. If blind people had any trouble conjuring an image in their mind's eye, that title should do it for them.

At this point, I thought about making a joke about how my mother always told me excessive masturbation would turn me blind, but instead I'll end the story with a link to a story something else I didn't know existed until the other day - Playboy for the Blind. The article contains the amazing quote:

Some disgruntled reality TV show writers have started productinvasion.com where they rant about how Madison Ave. is taking over the writing of these shows and point out some of the most egregious examples of out of control product placements.

The most fun is a list they've started of behind the scenes stories of advertisers and reality product users bumping heads during the making of such informercials as "Real World Road Rules Challenge" and "The Swan".

And for a little added fun they've created Subservient Donald where you can order the Donald to shill a product for you. I don't think there's any stripping in this one but I purposely didn't try any of the usual keywords.

Here's a lesson...if you're gonna travel around the world, bring some balloons, make hats for people and photograph them. You can get a book and a website out of the whole experience...funny stuff.

This just in...the ugliest, most tasteless furniture you could ever imagine is being made in Holland. (although this site calls it stylish) Stick to dikes.
