Move over Dan Brown and cuddle up with Caleb Carr because Chris Elliott is getting into bed with you for a wild historic-fiction orgy!

Or he has a new book out, anyway, and its set in 1880s New York. A reporter, Mayor Teddy Roosevelt and Liz Smith are hot on the trail of Jack the Thwacker, a scoundrel who hits prostitutes (and women he confuses for prostitutes) with a bag of apples. I am definitely getting this (when it comes out in paperback.)
