The Bubble Project

StarbucksWeb.jpg

Courtesy of today's Daily News, a story on the thought bubbles recently appearing on outdoor ads all over Manhattan. They're the brainchild of Ji Lee and his Bubble Project, and he invites others to join in the subversive fun via his downloadable template.

Fitting that this story comes the same week as New York Mag's New Ad City, detailing how the city has become one big corporate logo. I have to agree, the outdoor advertising has gotten obnoxious. Seems any space not covered by a sales pitch is fair game these days, and I say any form of rebellion we can get our hands on is a welcome intrusion. Kudos, Mr. Lee.
