I've you've ever dreamed about living and working in one of the harshest environments in the world, now you can read Simon Coggins' blog, 75 Degrees South, and learn about what life is like in Antarctica. It was with some relief that we eventually found it at a depth of 4.8 metres beneath the snow, a good example of just how much everything gets buried down here!
He visits penguins, flies kites, goes camping, drives sno-cats, flies planes, streaks (yes, naked), gawks at the Aurora Australis (pictured above), bakes bread, takes meteorological observations and he chats to us about it all like an old friend.
Makes for a good read with a nice hot cup of cocoa.
