Kanye West just freaked the hell out of Mike Myers and the NBC crew when he went off message, rambling on for a long while during this Hurricane concert special. Myers was bright white, and looked like he might push West off the stage. West was unfazed. Then he blurted out this:
"George Bush doesn't care about black people!"
Then NBC cut away, just before Myers smashed the Prompter over Kanye's off-message head. This is great TV.

I have the video and transcript if you want to relive the moment: www.tomorrowsfool.blogspot.com
Wow, thanks for that clip, I didn't watch the show tonight. That was like a weird SNL skit with Mike Myers there. I kept waiting for a punchline.
Just watched the midnight replay on MSNBC. They played the first part but cut to the Concert for Hurrican Relief Logo and then directly to Chris Tucker, excising the George Bush comment.
These people harbor a disease of mysticism - this disease blinds them with a hatred that is nearly equivalent to that which foments inside the mind of a radical islamist. The need to blame something, anything, for their insecurities and self-loathing in the face of something they can not explain trumps all other desires.
Emboldened by a mainstream media that has subtly hinted that racism is the root cause of this catastrophe, it is hardly surprising in an era where voices of all sorts have the loud microphone of new media to trumpet their ideas, that the crazies being heard. Those who are guided by reason, now more than ever need to step up to match and pound down the voices of the desperate, though still dangerous, mystical anti-american Left.
