Pat Robertson's Assassination Wish

2678279.jpg

I actually caught this late last night on TV. Hugo Chávez, Venezuela's left-wing president, sounds like a someone we should keep an eye on, but yesterday, the supposed man of God called for the assassination of Chávez. Why? Because we want his oil. Watch Now!

I'm glad someone else posted this. I don't want to be the only one pointing out the hypocrisy on the right.

I think it's pretty ironic that Roberston, as a Christian televangelist, is so concerned about Chavez's attempts to destabalize democracy. Surely he'd be in favor of a dictatorship, a system of rule where one single person has total, absolute power over the people and land. After all, doesn't that describe the place he hopes to end up after he dies? (or possibly the place he's GOING to end up if he keeps making statements like that...)

I'm actually surprised this is getting so much press. Why does anyone pay attention to Pat Robertson? He's proven time and time again that he's a crackpot.
