Things I learnt from the episode of Top Of The Pops I just downloaded and watched, care of British bittorrent site, UKNova:

• Jamiroquai continue to remake the same song over and over, and it still sounds pretty good.
• Whoever would have thought Madeleine Peyroux, with the velvet Nina Simone voice, was a young brunette white girl?
• A-Ha once claimed they were “more rock n roll than Def Leppard”. Err, right.
• Goldtrapp - nice attempt, but Marc Bolan had more sex appeal in his plectrum.

Top of the Pops - much maligned British music show, but still required viewing, especially for expats. They used to run it on BBC America, but apparently have now given it's timeslot to the millionth repeat of Changing Rooms, so we're all unfortunately reduced to downloading like criminals. For those of you with higher ethical standards (or for whom bitorrent is a technical leap too far), there are low quality clips of all the above mentioned tracks right here.
