I was just reading a story on Screenhead about Debra LaFave. In case you had been living under a rock, Lafave is currently awaiting trial on charges of lewd and lascivious battery after she allegedly had sex with one of her students, a 14 year old boy.
It goes without saying that pedophilia is sick and depraved, and physical castration is a perfectly suitable punishment for any man found guilty of this type of crime.
My wife is pretty adamant in her opinion that LaFave (and Le Tourneau, and all the rest of these hot blonde female teachers who take advantage of their male pupils) are just as bad as their male counterparts, and should be punished accordingly. But then I look at those pictures, and I think back to when I was a 14 year old boy with raging hormones, who thought about sex pretty much ALL THE TIME. And I have to say, it's very hard to have a clear opinion. So I thought I'd throw it open to comments to see what anyone else thought.

Someone who looks like that and sleeps with a dopey 14-year-old is clearly insane. She should be locked away, because who knows what other crazy stuff she'll do.
I agree that there's a double standard here when it comes to male and female pedophiles, and I'm OK with it. She doesn't push my "take vengence" button.
i don't have a strong opinion on this. Maybe its because at catholic school if you have a crush on a teacher you have another set of problems.
What's bothering me is that her lawyer tried to say she shouldn't go to jail because she's pretty or delicate.
