
Did anyone see 60 Minutes last night? Well I did, and because of this, I witnessed the first true act of altruism I've ever seen in corporate america...EVER.
The gentlemen above is Dr. Peter Rost. He was interviewed by Bob Simon, at length, about why drugs are so expensive in the U.S, and how we can take steps to dramatically reduce costs for the millions of Americans without health care.
Here's the amazing part...HE'S THE CURRENT VP MARKETING FOR PFIZER PHARMACEUTICAL.
You have to read this transcript of the show. You'll read about Dr. Rost speaking to congress on the subject, and Pfizer issuing statements saying he doesn't know what he's talking about. And the segment ends with Mr. Simon asking the doctor how much longer he'll keep his job, and how he'll afford his house. "I don't know" is the short reply.
His oath obviously takes precedence over his paycheck. How fucking amazing is that?
