Contagious Media: Felon Check

Somebody has to cover the long shots. Felon Check is miles away from the top, parked on #40.

The site's only content is a ten-minute call from an alleged telemarketer. Like most of these folks, he's terrible at his job -- obviously reading from a script, constantly flubbing his lines, tenacious to a fault. "We'll part as friends" must be highlighted in the script.

I guess most people just hang up. Here's a sliver of the back-and-forth.

Josh (The Caller): How long have you been investing? 10 or 15 years?

Aaron: What is this, 2005?

Josh: Right.

Aaron: One...hundred...and...thirty...two...years.

Josh: Ok, so your family has been investing for 132 years.

Aaron: No, no. Me personally.

Josh: Ok, um. Aaron, my time is all but valuable.

Aaron: I don't think it is.

Josh: And I hope you'll take it seriously.

Aaron: I don't.

Josh: I mean...

Aaron: I think it's obvious by this conversation that I don't take your time seriously.

Josh: I have something that could truly benefit you.....It's obvious that we know what we're doing.

Aaron: It's obvious by you just telling me that? No, I don't think it is. If you were doing so well, you wouldn't be cold calling people.

Josh: This is how we get to know our custo- [trails off]. Some of our best relationships have been developed this way.

This part is not even halfway through the 10 minute call. Just the fact that the caller stayed on the line, trying not to go off-script, is funny. Will this challenge for the Contagious Media title? Doubtful. But if you have ten minutes to spare, it's worth a listen. I want Aaron's phone number. That way, when these people get to me, I can give them a "more convenient" number to reach me, and let Aaron hone his talents.

Thanks for the link. Glad you enjoyed it. I'm constantly amazed at these scammers. When this guy came on, I couldn't believe what was happening.
In general, I'd rather not get these calls - I do have a company to run :) But when they come in, I gotta have some fun.
