Rumormongering

This morning Jellio alluded to K.C. Armstrong's mysterious disappearance from the Howard Stern Show. Here's speculation from the IMDB message boards, from the always reliable jim90291:

"i heard a rumor KC was fired over the goldenpalace.com fiasco. he claimed to have won 300,000 and then lost in within 2 weeks. it was radio fodder for a few days, but then they found out KC made the whole thing up - he had gotten paid to make it up and talk and talk and talk about the online casino. stern fired him, and won't mention it because (a) its would look bad to KC so they won't ruin his rep (if he had one), and (b) the casino was a sponsor of the show, so they wouldn't make them look bad either. but that's just a rumor. i probably shouldn't spread it w/out evidence, but whatever.."

I remember hearing that story on the show, and KC seemed to mention GoldenPalace.com way too much for it to be legit. I thought the Stern Show/Infinity Broadcasting was getting paid, though. Not just KC.
