Google Maps Satellite service only launched recently, and already there's a blog devoted to prominent sites to view.
Putting my advertising head on, it's only a matter of time before agencies start cutting their clients' logos into the corn somewhere in America (crop circle style) and then giving Google Map addresses or GPS coordinates in their teaser campaigns. (kind of like this).
UPDATE
I've been finding some more interesting applications of these images. This one uses Flickr to create a memory map of a guy's childhood. Make sure you roll over the images.
BoingBoing also featured a nice hack that combines Google Maps and Apartments For sale/Rent listings on Craig's List.

Seems like the guy (Mathowie) with the overhead view of his childhood spots had a somewhat Ho-Hum few years there. Ooops, forgot about his pal Clint... The one with the major porn collection!
