Face it, you didn't have Louisville over Washington. It's gonna be fifty and sunny for Easter weekend...go outside.
The auto show is back at the Javits Center,
the eggs are back in Central Park,
and for dessert, you can select from a wide variety of art happenings:
Mr. shark tank, Damien Hirst, has a show of new paintings at Gagosian.
Mr. overhyped and overrated, David LaCappelle has a retrospective at Deitch Projects.
Daniel Buren's site-specific installation at the Guggenheim opens tomorrow.
And the one I'm most interested to see, Thomas Demand: Convincingly Real or Strangely Artificial is at MOMA. The images look harmless enough...rooms, parking lots, hallways, until you realize everything is made from construction paper. Tom Friedman, anyone.
