This week's recommended comic is Sleeper by Ed Brubaker and Sean Phillips.

Sleeper is a gritty noir spy thriller with a touch of superpowers. Holden Carver is a secret agent that has infiltrated the top levels of a secret super criminal organization run by a man named Tao only to find that the only person in the US government that knows who Carver really is has been killed. Carver finds himself trapped in this criminal underworld and is forced to make some tough moral decisions each step of the way that sink him further and further into the depths of Tao's organization.

There are three trade paperbacks available now collecting the series so far. Today, Vol. 3 comes out, which collects the first half of "season 2", a new storyline which ratchets up the tension even further.
