Via Cool Hunting, Thwart Design is a design collective dedicated to the "pursuit of raw creativity". They feature some really interesting products, although nothing's for sale yet, and they invite their readers to join them by sending in their own design concepts.

I thought the most fun, though, was the section called Design Without Reach, where they show readers how to make their own modern design home furnishings. My favorite is the George Nelson ball clock made with a salt container and tootsie roll pops. A very cool way of getting readers to interact with design without using a credit card.
