Halls Fruit Breezers and the Voicevertising Saga.

Time for some credit where credit is due. Readers may know by now that most of the YesBut crew work in advertising, as we've covered stories on new spots, viral campaigns, etc. Well, I'd like to give a little recognition to two contributors who took a very cool advertising idea, and put it to use on the perfect brand.

A little over a month ago, Aquaman posted this story about a man selling his services on eBay. He would shout a brand's name every fifteen minutes for a week. Funny, as it was a new twist to the ad tattoo stuff that had been happening lately. And strangely enough, no one had placed a bid yet.

Soon after, our own Scaramouch realized how cool that could be if partnered with the right brand. And before you know it, Halls Fruit Breezers won the auction. (I know because I placed the bid, and he hounded me every day for a week to make sure I didn’Äôt forget) Normal fashion...thirty seconds before it closed, and I was the only bidder. We've joked with Floyd (the yeller) since that he doesn't want to know what I was authorized to bid. Let's just say it was more than we paid.

And as they say, the rest is history. Or not really, as we’Äôve heard from many interested parties, so the fun will hopefully continue. Good Luck Floyd, ride the wave. And nice work to Scaramouch and Aquaman. Who says we’Äôre wasting our time with this site!

Great job, guys! That's definitely a unique campaign idea to be proud of.

Hey, we made the front page of a blog I visit pretty regularly. They were a bit slow on the uptake, but better late than never I guess.
