I've been meaning to write about this place for a while now. De Marco's is a pizza joint that opened on Houston and MacDougal a few weeks back. It's the first opening in Manhattan for famed Brooklyn Pizzeria Di Fara's, and from what I've heard, Di Fara's is as close to pizza from heaven as you can get.
So, I've gone a couple times, and I have to admit De Marco's makes a damn good slice, but the reason I'm writing is the DOZENS of articles I've seen posted about this place...seems like everybody has a very strong opinion one way or another on the quality of their slices, and how they compare to the mothership in Brooklyn. A couple examples, both courtesy of a blog devoted to pizza...
Daily News hates it
New Yorker (that's right, the freakin' New Yorker) loves it.
Check it out, and tell us what you think. Pizza...it brings the world together.

By the way...the Shake Shack in Madison Square Park opens in less than a month. That's the real news!
