Moss, the long-established Soho design store, has opened Moss Gallery, a showcase for designers featured in the main store.
The clerk described it as further blurring the lines between art and design, as the items for sale in the gallery are pre-production samples and one-of-a-kind prototypes for the items soon to be featured in the store. Cool idea, as it gives a behind-the-scenes look at the production cycle.
The current show is a solo exhibition featuring Dutch designer Tord Boontje. Mr Boontje gained attention last year for his Midsummer Light, combining ornamental design with modern materials. If you like the work but don't have the wallet, start small with the designer's fairy tale greeting card
