On last Thursday's season premier of The Apprentice, a contestant asked Mr. Trump to verify an urban legend: Did he once thank a kind stranger who'd helped change a tire on Trump's limo by paying off the good samaritan's mortgage? Yes, Trump verified.
But Snopes, the Urban Legends Reference Pages, disagrees, and cites plenty of evidence to debunk. One red flag: the deed is a repackaged rip-off of an 1891 Oscar Wilde short story called "A Model Millionaire."
