The New York Times is reporting that The LA County DA will seek the death penalty for the man who caused the fatal train crash this week that tragically killed 11 people and injured another 200. The man abandoned his SUV on a heavily traveled commuter rail track after an apparently failed suicide attempt.

So....they're seeking the death penalty for a suicidal man. Um, wouldn't a more fitting punishment be to make him live as long as possible in a very small cell? Preferably with a big photo album of all the children he made parentless.
